Online training program – including online training through WhatsApp – for more than 200 professional caregivers working in Gaza and the West Bank: aid workers, doctors, teachers, psychologists, therapists, speech therapists, musicians and other (mental health) professionals. We train them in a trauma-informed approach. To better understand and support themselves and others during and after traumatic experiences. To prevent severe traumatization during times of extreme violence, genocide, and war. This is a combined training with Sounds of Change’s training on the use of music with traumatized people.

Trauma-sensitive Support

"In Gaza, it has become almost ordinary for a doctor to bury his son in the morning, and return to his patients in the afternoon — because even amidst heartbreak, we choose to heal. Your solidarity reminds us that we are not alone."
“I truly believe that these kinds of activities can help the Palestinian community reduce the burden of the traumas they experience.”

Online Training of the team of teachers and social workers in a trauma-informed approach and trauma-sensitive support for their students: children aged 5 to 14 who have been traumatised by conflict and who are exposed to poverty, malnutrition and lack of perspective. Our Training creates awareness about the development of the brain, behaviour and the personality under severe stress and trauma, and how to work with that in a trauma-informed way. It’s a follow-up on Sounds of Change’s training on the use of music with children.
